(I chose this picture because it looks funny and goes with my biome.) I'm a BEAST. ha ha:) I play guitar, play sports, and like watching movies. I have some studly friends like Zach Donely, Nathan Schwartz, Matt Leitz, Jason O'Reilly, Jarrett Art, Morgan Klosinski, Logan Slusser, Thor Reed, and Alex Croston. Also, one of my best friends is my cousin, Derek Tumblin. We have a lot of the same hobbies and interests. I have two cats named Whitey and Wacky. My Grandparents have a dog and whenever I go over there, she is pretty much my dog, too. I like the dances we have at school and also like to dress in hilarious costumes for the theme of them. The sports that I play are Football, Wrestling, and Track. My favorite takedown in wrestling is the double leg shot. My favorite down-move is the power half. In track, my favorite events are Long Jump and the 800m run.
I'm tellin' you man. . . I am anANIMAL. GEEEEZZZZZZZ!!!!!!
<<<MARINE BIOME FACTS>>>
>The ocean contains 99% of living space on the planet.
-PLANTS-
>Hydrothermal vents support the only complex ecosystem known to run on chemicals rather than energy from the sun. >More than a million species of animals and plants have been discovered in the marine biome.
>According to marine biologists, there are up to 9 million species that have still to be discovered.
>Algae in the oceans generate the major portion of the oxygen in the earth’s atmosphere.
>The plants in the marine biome exist in the euphotic zone, the region that gets sunlight, since they require the sun’s energy for photosynthesis. >According to scientists, phytoplankton is responsible for about half of the oxygen in the earth’s atmosphere.
-ANIMALS-
>The marine biome is also home to some of the largest creatures on earth >Marine mammals generally have blubber in order to withstand the extremely cold temperatures of the water
-CLIMATE-
>The climate of the ocean does not vary much throughout the seasonal changes.>The ocean carries warm and cool currents that heat or cool the land it goes by.
>The circulation patterns in the open ocean are horizontal ocean currents that affect the upper surface waters, but the vertical circulation of open ocean water masses may be more important for marine life.
>The nutrient-rich waters encourage the growth of plankton, which serves as the base for the food chain throughout the oceans.
>In thermohaline circlulation, differences in the termperature, density, and salinity of ocean water masses cause the nutrient-rich deep ocean water to rise and mix with suface waters.
>The ocean carries warm and cool currents that heat or cool the land it goes by.
